A Brief Overview
Demonstrates successful technical/patient skills by efficiently performing Autonomic studies.
Accurately completes database entry. Provides preliminary and final results to other medical personnel upon request. Maintains equipment and recording area in a clean and operational condition. Demonstrates autonomic knowledge to autonomously utilize clinical and technical expertise to its fullest potential with no supervision. What You Will Do
Perform diagnostic testing of the autonomic nervous system Ensure Autonomic lab is compliant with JCAHO requirements Maintain Autonomic lab patient database Provide a safe environment of care conducive to high quality testing Accurately completes all charge entry Additional Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Qualifications
Education
High School Equivalent / GED
(Required) and Bachelor's Degree
(Preferred) Work Experience
2+ years in Autonomic testing. Word processing, database and spreadsheet experience (Required) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Required proficiency) Must possess excellent organizational skills (Required proficiency) Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision (Required proficiency) Excellent follow through & follow up skills (Required proficiency) Personal computer, word processing, good written and oral communication skills, mechanical trouble-shooting capability (Required proficiency) Licenses and Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS)
(Required Upon Hire) and CAP Certification of Autonomic professionals (Required within 3 Years) or Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T)
(Preferred Upon Hire) or Registered Pulmonary Function Technician (RPTT)
(Preferred Upon Hire) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
(Preferred Upon Hire) or Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License
(Preferred Upon Hire) Physical Demands
