We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to join our remote healthtech company focused on remote patient monitoring and AI-driven innovation. The role involves leading efforts to migrate from monolithic to microservices architectures, working in fast-paced environments. Responsibilities
Modernize applications using Spring Boot and AWS Design and build scalable REST APIs with Java 17+ Integrate API gateways and microservices on AWS Collaborate with offshore teams Manage large PostgreSQL databases Implement Redis caching for performance Refactor legacy code with Hibernate Apply domain-driven design principles Minimum Requirements
8+ years of Java backend development experience Experience refactoring monolithic apps to microservices Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Redis, RESTful APIs Test automation skills (JUnit, Mockito) Experience with AWS (RDS, EC2, VPC, API Gateway) Knowledge of reactive programming (Mono, Flux) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar Recent HIPAA and/or SOC 2 compliance experience Excellent communication skills, ability to work globally Startup/healthtech experience preferred Benefits
