DESCRIPTION: The Division of Information Technology's mission and vision is to promote and protect the health of all New Yorkers through the use of innovative technology and health information that is useful and available. The nation's leading local health department seeks a Procurement Analyst join its award-winning, innovative technology team in revolutionizing public health IT. Responsibilities Modify and develop .NET code for various .NET applications to meet the business needs. Work with a DBA to performance tuning the existing SQL database structure. Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts, software architects, and IT professionals to implement practical solutions. Ensure that all solutions are lightweight, scalable, and built to a high level of quality. Ensure security is being factored into each step of the software development process for various systems create estimates on time and effort to complete assignments based on end-user requirements. Design and develop new solutions utilizing Web Services.
Qualifications Preferred Skills
Strong development experience in the design and implementation of C#, .Net Core, MVC, JavaScript, Angular 2+, RESTAPI, and web services. Strong working experience performing complex queries using a variety of SQL based tools and technique. In depth knowledge of OOP best practices. Working Knowledge of web server configuration and web architecture fundamental. Ability to communicate with cross-functional development teams. Utilize and create code for reuse.
Minimum Qualifications
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering or a related field and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to information technology service management, process management, operations; A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and eight years of satisfactory full-time experience related to information technology service management, process management, operations; Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above.
Residency
Residency Requirement: New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. To determine if the residency requirement applies to you, please discuss with the agency representative at the time of interview. Salary
