Program Coordinator, Transfer & Military Connected Students
As a member of the Undergraduate Admissions team, the program coordinator for transfer and military connected students manages a recruitment territory for transfer students, executes territory specific recruitment activities and events in collaboration with partner offices using data, reports and analysis tools/technology; uses knowledge and expertise of transfer student enrollment to develop outreach activities; develops and maintains positive relationships with high schools, community based organizations, and community colleges; traveling to high schools, community colleges, and college fairs to represent The Ohio State University with possible/extensive travel up to 10 weeks per year, potentially 3-4 consistent weeks in a given semester; makes recruitment calls to prospective students in collaboration with partner offices; monitors a territory specific budget and completes fiscal transactions in Workday; analyzes prospective student data; learns and uses the Empowering Market Analysis (EMA) system, CRM system, Student Information System, and other technologies to perform timely and accurate entries into databases regarding student application information, call/email activity and other processes, performs data validation; and manages electronic workflows. Plans events and develops transfer-specific communication to support the enrollment of transfer students; assists with on and off campus recruitment events and projects; coordinates recruitment for special programs, as assigned, which may include transfer, veterans, and College Credit Plus; collaborates with academic units and oversees activities of military connected students, supervises the veterans advocate position, collaborates with Military and Veterans Services to support the recruitment and enrollment of military connected students. Responds to emails and calls regarding military and veteran questions, represents Ohio State at military-sponsored recruitment events. Counsels and corresponds with students, families, university departments, or other stakeholders regarding The Ohio State University undergraduate admissions policies, procedures, and general information over the phone, via email, and in person; conducts large and small-group presentations; learning and maintaining knowledge of the areas within the office and university to best direct questions from staff and guests; researches and resolves problems; provides support to access programs and initiatives on/off campus; reviews applications (domestic, international, transfer, special population) through our holistic application review process and makes admissions recommendations actual time commitment will fluctuate through the year; participates as an active member of the Undergraduate Admissions team through membership on committees; and completing special assignments and other duties as assigned. Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred. Desired: Experience in undergraduate admissions or recruitment, demonstrated knowledge of data interpretation, knowledge of CRM and other recruitment technology platforms, experience working with transfer or military connected populations. The hourly rate for this position is $20.24-$26.44. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
