Role Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Die Setter to support Maintenance, Operations, and Quality in press and part production. This role is responsible for setting up dies, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safe and efficient operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Perform safety checks on cranes, straps, slings, and light curtains before use. Clean, inspect, and prepare dies for production, including bolting and centering. Maintain organization and cleanliness in die storage areas and workstations. Provide technical support and assist with troubleshooting and corrective actions. Participate in continuous improvement and housekeeping activities. Key Qualifications/Requirements
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with Lean principles and tools. Willingness to assist with on-the-job training and team support. Knowledge and Education
High school diploma/GED required with technical schooling preferred. At least 1-year job related experience. Can demonstrate work experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment. Forklift and Crane Certified. Additional Information
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk and hear Employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
