Senior Redshift Developer

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Redshift Developer to support our client's contract needs. This position is located in the Washington DC area and will be a full remote position. Responsibilities: Create and maintain complex stored procedures/packages for Redshift Create and maintain database schemas for Redshift Create and maintain partitions in oracle to facilitate query performance and data maintenance Maintain the existing applications and enhance the system as per client requirements Modify existing procedures/packages to incorporate new functionalities UNIX Shell scripting Analyze system issues and devise and execute remediation plans Perform code reviews and bug fixing Conduct performance tuning of existing queries and packages Comply with all required standards and processes and devise approach to ensure compliance across the team Provide complete technical and maintenance support to the systems Run the assigned projects solo as well as working as a team Use of Redshift, PL/SQL, SQL Developer, PuTTY, Shell Scripting, UNIX, and Linux Interact directly with the customer on behalf of the team to resolves issues or identify new requirements to be addressed by the team Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with 12+ years (or commensurate experience) in IT Extensive and recent Amazon Redshift database experience AWS Experience 7-8 years of PL/SQL development experience Excellent written and oral communication skills Understanding and knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle Maintains strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations Exhibit confidence and knowledge in solving problems Work well independently and within a team Proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent time management skills Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Willingness to learn and acquire new knowledge Clearance Required: Able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance and must have been within US for the last 5 years with no cumulative travel outside the US exceeding 6 months.
