Job Position: Maintenance Mechanic - Electrical (Bilingual Preferred)

Pay Rate: $38.00/hr

Description: Overview: To provide general maintenance and repair in the production area, as relates to conveyors, motors, electrical systems, etc. Repairs and maintains physical structures, machinery and HVAC systems. Maintains records of plant equipment and performs preventive maintenance according to plan. Ensures all bakery equipment operates at full potential to ensure products are made to spec on a timely basis and that equipment down-time is kept to a minimal.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 1. Program and maintain electrical systems, including PLCs, inverters, drives, and HMIs. 2. Complete electrical installations in compliance with NEC standards, including calculations and installation up to 400 amps (480/240/120V, AC/DC). 3. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical components such as motors, transformers, relays, motor controls, and breakers. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with production equipment. 4. Perform repairs, maintenance, and installation of mechanical systems, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, compressors, pumps, conveyors, gear boxes, and related support equipment. 5. Perform welding, fabrication, and equipment assembly as required. 6. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate construction and repair of equipment. 7. Fit bearings, align gears and wheels, attach motors, and connect belts to ensure proper functionality. 8. Construct and repair physical structures, work areas, and supporting equipment. 9. Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drill presses, welding machines, and soldering equipment. 10. Perform technical calculations related to torque, electrical load, material requirements, and operating speeds. 11. Accurately identify equipment malfunctions and execute effective repair solutions. 12. Connect power cables, install grounding leads, and test electrical equipment to ensure safety and compliance. 13. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, actively promoting a culture of workplace safety. 14. Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

Non-Essential Duties/Responsibilities: • Performs other duties as required

Background/Education Requirements: • High school diploma or GED. • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance. • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including PLC programming and industrial controls. • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics. • Proficient in welding, fabrication, and safe use of power tools. • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. • Familiarity with food safety and regulatory requirements (SQF, GMP, OSHA).

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements • Manufacturing environment with varying temperatures (coolers, ovens, production floor). • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs. when handling parts or supplies. • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods as required.
