Location : Village of River Oaks, an Independent and Assisted Living with Memory Care senior community
Shifts Available : 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. | 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. | 10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.
PRN - all shifts
Must be available to work weekends and holidays. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilize independent judgment and discretion in performing non-routine resident care tasks. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitor residents' responses, and notify the Director of Resident Care of any concerns. Assist residents with medication according to procedures and supervise self-administration. Maintain accurate and timely records, including medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents, observations, and changes in resident condition. Write weekly/monthly summaries addressing issues identified in service plans. Assist with EMR training, order verification, onboarding new employees, and handling incident reports and communications in the absence of the nurse. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the medicine supply room. Receive and manage reports on all residents. Count controlled substances with outgoing RMAs and ensure accuracy before accepting keys. Provide direct resident care as outlined in the Resident Assistant Job Description. Follow procedures during emergencies and respond promptly to resident requests. Promote teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers. Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene. Attend all required in-service training sessions. Be an active member of the community's emergency response team. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED required. Certified Nurse Assistant with state-approved Medication Assistant Certification. Current CPR certification. 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail. Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
