GIS Database Developer
Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a GIS Database Developer to join an IT services company supporting a government customer. This is an onsite position in Ashburn, VA. Essential duties of the GIS Database Developer include managing the existing database as well as providing updates to the system and setting up new database systems. Create Oracle Triggers, Packages and Procedures as needed to simplify workflow and ensure data consistency across the database. Utilize GIS knowledge and skills to manage spatial components of the data. Database Management, Development, and Testing: Manage large datasets using database systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL, and ESRI products. Manage spatial (GIS) database administration, development, planning, and support. Qualifications of the GIS Database Developer include relational database administration and development in Oracle. 1-2 years of ARC GIS Experience, familiarity with line plotting. Knowledge of Python scripting for customizing ArcGIS Geoprocessing tasks within ArcToolbox. Building and designing Geodatabases. Deployment and administration of ArcGIS Enterprise, either in a network or cloud environment. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Compensation for the GIS Database Developer includes $75,000 - $100,000 (based on experience), a 4 day work week option, comprehensive benefit package; Cigna Medical, Cigna Dental, Vision, 401k w/ ADP, PTO, paid holidays, Sick Leave as required by law, paid holidays.
