The Lead Business Intelligence Analyst will play a critical role in driving data strategy and advanced analytics for both Service Delivery and Sales teams within Lumen's Public Sector organization. This position goes beyond reportingit leads the design of scalable BI solutions, leverages predictive and prescriptive analytics, and partners with leadership to influence strategic decisions. The ideal candidate combines deep analytical expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to mentor others while shaping the organization's data-driven culture. The Main Responsibilities

Lead the development of advanced dashboards, reports, and data models using enterprise BI tools (Power BI, etc.). Partner with senior leaders in Service Delivery and Sales to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and revenue growth through data insights. Drive the design and implementation of predictive models, scenario planning, and AI-driven analytics to support strategic initiatives. Translate complex business needs into technical requirements and oversee the delivery of analytical solutions. Establish and enforce data governance standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and security of public sector data. Conduct deep-dive root cause analyses and present actionable recommendations to executive stakeholders. Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in BI development and data storytelling. Collaborate with IT and architecture teams to optimize data pipelines and ensure scalability of BI platforms. Document processes, maintain knowledge repositories, and champion continuous improvement in analytics capabilities. What We Look For in a Candidate

Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred). Five+ years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics, with a proven track record in leading complex BI projects. Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization platforms (Power BI preferred). Strong experience with Database Management Systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or Snowflake. Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis and automation. Expertise in ETL processes and data pipeline optimization. Experience with Databricks or similar big data platforms is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive data-driven decision-making. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring or leading small teams. Strong business acumen and ability to align analytics with strategic objectives. Experience with CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP). Knowledge of public sector KPIs, compliance requirements, and performance frameworks. Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and modern data warehousing solutions. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
