Certifications: Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology, BLS
Must-Have: Ability to perform FNA/Biopsy, experience in inpatient consults, outpatient clinic, and infusion center
Description:
- The Hematologist/Oncologist will provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including consult services, outpatient clinic, and infusion center.
- The provider will see patients per day in the hospital and approximately 15 patients per day in the outpatient clinic.
- Call responsibilities will be shared within a 1:5 ratio.
- The physician will collaborate with a team of six physicians, five inpatient APPs, and six outpatient APPs to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Responsibilities include ordering tests, imaging, and prescriptions, as well as participating in tumor board discussions.
- Required procedures include fine needle aspiration and biopsy.
- The patient population consists of adult and geriatric patients.
- Radiation oncologists are present to support cancer care services.
- Electronic medical record system used is Epic.
