Job Description
Synthesis Systems is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a contract position in Dulles, Virginia. Requirements
As a member of the Applications Solution Delivery (ASD) Team, you will be responsible for implementing and enhancing ATPCOs application software. Responsibilities include leading analysis, design, development, testing, integration, debugging, documentation, and implementation of new and existing projects. You will produce technical project requirements, designs, and documents, and communicate solutions effectively. Incorporate architectural strategies and standards into your solutions. Promote project success through efficient designs, programming techniques, and strategies, utilizing reuse where practical. Design and execute unit and integration test strategies to ensure thorough testing prior to QA. Lead the development and execution of implementation plans and release management processes with all necessary groups. Ensure all technical and project artifacts are complete and properly managed according to SDLC standards. Adhere to established ATPCO development standards and lead efforts to improve quality and productivity of the development teams, ensuring standards are followed. Work independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality, efficient application components/programs. Provide estimates for analyses, project planning, and impact assessments, especially in ambiguous situations. Lead technical project teams, anticipate and resolve issues to meet deadlines. Plan, organize, and track project deliverables to adhere to schedules. Stay current with programming techniques, technologies, and tools used at ATPCO, and propose/implement improvements. Lead efforts to integrate design strategies, specifications, schedules, and user expectations into project artifacts. Effectively lead cross-functional teams, build rapport, and keep others informed. Maintain excellent communication skills with diverse audiences. Proactively interface with others, identify options for project success, and establish positive relationships across the company. Take ownership of technical issues, anticipate and mitigate risks, escalate issues appropriately, and keep stakeholders informed. Share knowledge and mentor others, proactively presenting information to improve team productivity. Qualifications
