Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for managing and stewarding a portfolio of individual donors to raise critical funds that advance the mission of The Family Place.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement with the Chief Advancement Officer the strategy to achieve individual giving fundraising goals. Working in collaboration with the Chief Advancement Officer, develop a year-round stewardship plan that engages and informs donors in the work of The Family Place resulting an increase in donor retention. Identify, cultivate, and solicit prospects for major gifts to support programming, general operations and growing the endowment. o Research prospects based on giving history, capacity and inclination to give, creating solicitation strategies to execute. Schedule weekly donor and prospect visits for cultivation and solicitation purposes in collaboration with CAO and CEO as needed. o Prepare major gift proposals in response to inquiries and/or cultivation of major donors and prospects. Manage Partners Auxiliary, with the goal of recruiting new members each year, and oversee cultivation events. o Work in collaboration with Marketing team to integrate donor stewardship communication through multiple channels - social media, email newsletter and other digital marketing outlets. Assist with planning and communication to donors and prospects for fundraising events. Act as organizational representative for local community events as needed. Attend weekly department staff meetings, on-going agency meetings and trainings as necessary. Other Duties:

Qualifications
Requirements : Bachelor's Degree or related experience in lieu of a degree. At least three to five years of work experience in fundraising, a nonprofit environment or related business experience.
Licenses and Certifications : Valid Texas Driver's License
Knowledge and Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the Dallas philanthropic community. Strong writing and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects; prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work and think independently, using critical thinking skills to analyze strategies. Skilled and experienced in Microsoft Office Suite. Skilled in Raiser's Edge or similar donor database software. Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings for special events. Ability to drive personal vehicle for meetings and attending events.
Mental and Physical Abilities : Duties are usually performed seated with occasional periods of standing or walking. Some physical effort is required associated with lifting and carrying objects (at least 50 lbs.)
Working Conditions : Work may be performed but is not limited to an office environment. Available for weekend and evenings events.
