$203,000.00/yr - $263,000.00/yr

Reser’s Fine Foods is seeking a Senior Director of Operations to oversee and optimize their nationwide network of production facilities. In this high-impact role, you’ll provide strategic leadership to General Managers and plant teams across multiple locations—championing safety, quality, efficiency, and operational excellence while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership & Performance: Lead day-to-day operations across 4-5 food manufacturing sites, ensuring KPIs for safety, quality, cost, efficiency, and team engagement.
  • Oversight: Provide oversight for Production, Maintenance, Scheduling, Sanitation, Warehouse, and Inventory Control across the network.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Safety, Quality Assurance, and HR to ensure alignment and regulatory compliance.

Strategic Direction & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with the VP of Operations to develop and execute long-term strategic initiatives and process improvements that align with company goals.
  • Analyze financial data, evaluate cost-benefit scenarios, and lead cost-reduction strategies to drive profitability and efficiency.
  • Lead plant expansions, renovations, and capital projects with a focus on sustainable growth.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor plant General Managers and leadership teams to build high-performing, collaborative operations.
  • Establish clear goals and performance metrics, offering feedback and accountability to drive results.
  • Identify training needs and support succession planning within operational teams.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Food Science, or related field is required; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 10-15 years of experience in food manufacturing operations, with 5+ years of multi-site leadership responsibility—preferably in refrigerated, baked goods, meat, or frozen product categories.
  • Experience managing complex production environments with a strong emphasis on employee safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, drive culture, and implement lean principles across diverse plant operations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of influencing at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% to support site operations.
