Overview
Corporate Finance Manager at Gusto. You will drive company-wide financial planning, resource allocation, operations, and provide key reporting insights to enable company-level decision making as part of the Corporate Finance sub team within the Finance, BizOps & Strategy (FBOS) organization.
Responsibilities
- Corporate Planning & Forecasting. Partner on managing Gusto’s business model and support strategic planning, forecasting and resource allocation.
- Management Reporting. Support key corporate reporting requirements to Board of Directors and Executive Team, e.g. company-level KPI tracking, performance to plan, etc.
- Business Support. Support key foundation leaders as a business partner and with other finance team members.
- Drive Efficiency and Scale. Standardize and improve reporting frameworks, systems, processes and data governance to create leverage for the FBOS team and help Gusto scale.
- Headcount Planning & Management. Partner with recruiting, finance teammates, and cross-functional partners to plan for and operationalize hiring.
Qualifications
- Experience
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in Finance & Strategy or Financial Operations within tech, fintech, and/or banking.
- Technical skills
- Excel pro with the ability to develop insightful financial models and quantitative analysis, paired with strong critical thinking and sound business judgment.
- Experience building new processes and reports in an enterprise financial planning system (Pigment).
- Familiar with human capital management, financial planning, and data visualization & analytics tools (e.g. Workday, Tableau, Redash).
- Experience using SQL.
- Comfortable with advanced AI prompting and vibe coding.
- Discipline & Attitude
- Outgoing and thoughtful partner to leaders throughout the organization.
- Sharp attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Strong time management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects and stakeholders while meeting deadlines on time-sensitive projects.
- Prepared to troubleshoot and diagnose issues to their root cause and recommend solutions.
Compensation
Our cash compensation for this role is between $109,000 - $155,000/year in Denver and $132,000 - $187,000/year for New York/San Francisco. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above. Compensation for this position also includes an equity package and performance bonuses.
Location and work arrangements
Gusto has offices in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees based in those locations are expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose office is in Scottsdale. The San Francisco office expectations cover both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas. When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
