As a fast-growing fintech company, PayNearMe is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Sales to lead our sales organization and drive revenue growth. This is a high-impact, strategic leadership role reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and will play a critical part in scaling our business.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy & Execution
    • Develop and execute a scalable, repeatable sales strategy aligned with PayNearMe’s growth objectives.
    • Identify new market opportunities, key customer segments, and expansion strategies to accelerate revenue growth.
    • Establish and manage a predictable and data-driven sales process, ensuring efficiency and high conversion rates.
    • Drive the adoption of structured sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger) to optimize deal execution.
  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous learning.
    • Implement best practices in sales coaching, performance management, and career development to retain top talent.
    • Set clear goals, KPIs, and incentive structures that align with company objectives and motivate the team.
  • Revenue Growth & Market Expansion
    • Own and optimize the sales pipeline, forecasting, and revenue targets to ensure sustained growth.
    • Expand PayNearMe’s presence in key verticals and build strategic partnerships that drive long-term value.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Client Success to enhance demand generation, product positioning, and client retention.
  • Customer & Partner Engagement
    • Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with key customers, industry stakeholders, and partners.
    • Ensure a seamless sales-to-customer experience, working closely with Client Success to drive adoption and retention.
    • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor strategies, and market dynamics to inform sales decisions and competitive positioning.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably in fintech, SaaS, or payments.
  • Proven track record of scaling and leading high-performing sales teams and driving significant revenue growth.
  • Proven experience developing and executing successful GTM strategies and sales playbooks.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise sales cycles, pipeline management, and forecasting.
  • Expertise in sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger) and process optimization.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze key metrics, identify trends, and drive strategic decisions.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with the ability to adapt and execute quickly.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Location & Travel

  • Remote (U.S.-based) with up to 40% travel for client meetings, industry events, and team engagements.

Salary & Benefits

  • Base salary per year (paid semi-monthly) — $250,000 to $300,000
  • Stock options with standard startup vesting - 1 year cliff; 4 years total
  • $50 monthly communication expense stipend to cover phone/internet
  • $250 stipend to enhance WFH setup
  • Reimbursement for peripheral equipment: monitor up to $400, keyboard and mouse up to $200
