Nextest, a Division of Teradyne is looking for a highly motivated and talented Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to join our New Product Introduction (NPI) team based in San Jose, California. We are a small, close-knit team working in an exciting, fast-paced, focused atmosphere. You can make a huge impact to this organization where what matters most is our success in bringing new products to market quickly.
Collaborate on product build process with design engineering
Develop and implement new assembly instructions procedures
Assist in the development of Manufacturing Process Strategy for outsourced products
Participate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews through New Product Introduction process
Contribute to Manufacturing fixture design
Create and Implement Engineering Change Notices to update BOMs and drawings
Monitor and drive quality standards at suppliers and internally
Develop and provide training to assembly personnel and contract manufacturers

BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field
Min 2 years of experience with electro-mechanical assemblies
Hands on assembly experience is preferred
Experience in SolidWorks and CAD applications
Organized team player with a high sense of urgency
Able to find creative ways to solve problems and recognize when an escalation is required
Extremely motivated
Flexible to work with global suppliers with multiple time zones
Able to travel ~10%
Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is$80,800 - $129,200.This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
