Nextest, a Division of Teradyne is looking for a highly motivated and talented Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to join our New Product Introduction (NPI) team based in San Jose, California. We are a small, close-knit team working in an exciting, fast-paced, focused atmosphere. You can make a huge impact to this organization where what matters most is our success in bringing new products to market quickly.

  • Collaborate on product build process with design engineering

  • Develop and implement new assembly instructions procedures

  • Assist in the development of Manufacturing Process Strategy for outsourced products

  • Participate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews through New Product Introduction process

  • Contribute to Manufacturing fixture design

  • Create and Implement Engineering Change Notices to update BOMs and drawings

  • Monitor and drive quality standards at suppliers and internally

  • Develop and provide training to assembly personnel and contract manufacturers

  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field

  • Min 2 years of experience with electro-mechanical assemblies

  • Hands on assembly experience is preferred

  • Experience in SolidWorks and CAD applications

  • Organized team player with a high sense of urgency

  • Able to find creative ways to solve problems and recognize when an escalation is required

  • Extremely motivated

  • Flexible to work with global suppliers with multiple time zones

  • Able to travel ~10%

    Compensation:

    The base salary range for this role is$80,800 - $129,200.This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

    Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
