In an ever-evolving IT landscape, EY seeks a Cloud Security Senior Engineer to help clients understand and navigate their Enterprise Identity environments. You will evaluate, enhance, and devise innovative solutions, processes, and policies to meet each client’s Cloud Security requirements. This is an opportunity to leverage technical expertise and business acumen to shape global cybersecurity outcomes.
The Opportunity
The Cloud Security Senior Engineer will design, implement, and manage security measures to protect our cloud infrastructure. This role involves working with multiple teams to ensure security and compliance of cloud environments, perform risk assessments, and respond to security incidents. EY’s Cloud Security services help clients align security management with business goals, including management of cloud resources and services and enforcement of privacy and security policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud security architectures and solutions.
- Monitor and manage security configurations for cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits of cloud environments.
- Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to ensure secure deployment and management of cloud resources.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents and breaches in cloud environments.
- Implement and manage cloud security tools and technologies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on cloud security best practices.
- Stay current with cloud security trends, threats, and technologies.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in cloud security tools and services offered by these platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and industry standards.
- Ability to implement and manage security controls in cloud environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Data-driven decision making and critical thinking.
- Excellent documentation skills (IAM-related procedures and user docs).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud security or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their security features.
- Experience with cloud security tools such as CASB, CSPM, and SIEM.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Strong understanding of network security, IAM, and encryption.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CCSP, CISSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, or equivalent are a plus.
Ideally, You Would Also Have
- Professional certifications in Identity & Access Management (e.g., CISSP, CISM) or vendor-specific cloud certifications.
- Familiarity with additional cloud security technologies and tools (e.g., Wiz.io, Defender for Cloud, CrowdStrike).
- Knowledge of cloud-based security solutions and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with cloud security guardrail automation (e.g., AWS SCP, Azure Policies).
- Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks and standards related to IAM (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience delivering Cloud Security services to clients across industries.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with clients and cross-functional teams.

- Comprehensive compensation and benefits, including a base salary range of $77,500 to $140,900 (varies by location); NYC Metro, WA, and CA ranges differ. Total Rewards include medical/dental, pension/401(k), and paid time off.
