California Healthcare Job Details Assignment Type: Travel nursing job Location: Turlock, California 95382 Unit: Obstetrics (Postpartum RN) Duration: 13 weeks (September 1, 2025 - December 1, 2025) Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:45 - 19:15) Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed Bed Count: 28 beds Average Births per Month: 110 Patient Ratio: 1:4 Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1740 - $1870 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 1 year of recent experience in postpartum, pediatric, or mother/baby nursing Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Proficiency in couplet care and independent care of low-risk pediatric patients Experience with Meditech electronic medical records preferred Ability to float within skillset as needed Postpartum RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive postpartum care to mothers and newborns, including couplet care Independently manage low-risk pediatric patients (post-appendectomy, fracture repairs, respiratory illnesses) Monitor and assess patients using pulse oximeters, vital sign machines, IV pumps, and bili lights Assist with vaginal deliveries, post-op care for C-sections, and gynecological procedures (hysterectomies, tubal ligations) Document patient care and interventions accurately in Meditech Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain a safe, supportive, and family-centered environment for patients and their families Apply now for this travel nursing opportunity in Turlock, California, and join our dedicated healthcare team!
