American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift LDRP position requiring L&D and mother-baby experience with current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications.Job Details•Work in an acute care LDRP unit with a 14-bed capacity where patients stay in the same room throughout their stay,•Unit supports labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, triage, and has 2 OR suites for C-sections,•Triage area with 4 beds staffed by travelers as needed,•Approximately 90 births per month with a diverse patient population including 32+ week gestation, high-risk pregnancies, and some antepartum patients,•Unit follows AWHONN staffing standards with specific nurse-to-patient ratios for labor, postpartum couplets, and triage,•Night shifts from 7pm to 7am with weekend work as needed based on unit requirements,•No block or self-scheduling; travelers are scheduled to fill in gaps based on core staff needs,•Float required to L&D, Postpartum, Antepartum, or sitter roles at multiple sites within Treasure Valley,•Hospital-issued scrubs required; must change in and out at each shift,•Uses Epic EMR; familiarity preferred,Job Requirements•Active RN license (compact or state) in hand at time of application,•Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required,•Minimum 3 years of L&D experience and at least 1 year of mother-baby experience preferred,•Experience attending deliveries, providing 1 hour of newborn care, triage, circulating for C-sections, and postpartum couplet care,•Experience with titrating Pitocin, magnesium, and insulin drips,•Charge RN experience preferred,•Ability to float to related units within primary skill set,•Required documentation: valid driver's license,•Applicants must live at least 50 miles from the facility,Additional Information•Responsibilities include managing laboring patients, attending deliveries, circulating and recovering C-sections, triage, postpartum couplet care, and titrating drips,•Work closely with a team including admin supervisors, charge nurses, resource nurses, OB hospitalists, and neonatal NPs on site 24/7,•Resource nurse may attend deliveries and support with physical assessments and care for newborns within the first 2 hours,•Unit provides 4 shifts of orientation covering C-section, labor, and postpartum care,•First-time travelers are welcome to apply,•No call or standby requirements,•Travel duos must have separate vehicles due to possible assignments at different sites or need to float mid-shift,•No fingernail lacquer, acrylic, or gel nails allowed due to NICU embedded within some LDRP rooms,•Flexible holiday coverage may be required based on facility needs,•Permanent employees must be gone for at least one year before being eligible for travel assignments at this facility,),•hash,:• ,
