Pay Information $2,987 per week About The Position Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 11.5 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: Relevant certifications in Labor & Delivery Must-Have: Competency in all areas of the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum model Description: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse needed for immediate start. We require nurses to be competent in all areas of the LDRP model. The unit handles approximately 1300 deliveries each year. There are 21 rooms, a 2-bed triage room, and 2 operating rooms. We follow staffing guidelines which include nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 for Pitocin and active labors/intermittent monitoring. A ratio of 1:2 is expected for cervical ripening. For high-risk medication including Magnesium Sulfate and Insulin drips, we maintain a 1:1 ratio with Pitocin and a 1:2 ratio. Antepartum and Postpartum couplets are managed with a ratio of 1:3.
