Pay Information $1,995 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in MS/Telemetry (Adults Only) License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Telemetry experience, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias Description: Seeks a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical/Surgical Telemetry. The position involves providing care for adult patients only. Candidates must have a minimum of two years experience in MS/Telemetry. Experience should include various patient diagnoses such as diabetes, congestive heart failure, infection, sepsis, COPD, and general medicine. The unit accommodates surgical cases, as well as a large orthopedic program. Travelers will not be expected to care for pediatric patients. Nurses will float within equivalent or lower-level acuity units as required. The average daily census is about 30 patients with a staffing ratio of 1:5. Special equipment includes telemetry monitoring, patient lifts, chest tubes, and PCA pumps. Weekend coverage is required, with a commitment of 6 shifts within a 6-week contract period. Candidates should possess skills in accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care, and management of chest tubes. Experience with high-flow nasal cannula and telemetry monitoring is also essential.
