Job Title: RN - Telemetry Unit
Shift: Day Shift: 07:00 - 19:00, every other weekend (Friday & Saturday), no call required.
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: (Facility Location) - Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, local candidates not accepted.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse for our Advanced Cardiac Therapy Unit. This unit primarily cares for patients with heart failure and other cardiac-related diagnoses, including NSTEMI, STEMI, patients post-Watchman or catheterization procedures, and those with new-onset A-fib or A-fib with RVR. As a RN in this unit, you will be expected to manage cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Heparin, as well as administer IV pushes of medications like Metoprolol, Lopressor, Digoxin, and Cardizem. The desired candidate will possess a thorough understanding of telemetry, including rhythm interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiovascular conditions.
- Monitor vital signs and patient's cardiac rhythms.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies effectively.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on heart health and recovery plans.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are required.
- 1-2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience is preferred.
- Strong telemetry knowledge, especially in rhythm interpretation, is essential.
- Comfortable managing patients with advanced cardiac therapies.
Patient Ratios:
- 1:4 or 1:5, with no more than 1:6 patients assigned at any time.
Work Environment:
- 24-bed Advanced Cardiac Therapy Unit.
- Possible floating to Neuro Science, MS4B, MS3C, NSP4A, Tele 5A, Tele 5B, ED Holds, and Oncology.

- Up to 1 week of RTO (Request Time Off) allowed.
