Certifications: ARRT or ARMRIT in MRI BLS for Healthcare Workers Must-Have: Experience in MRI Cardiac, Breast, and Breast Biopsy MRI is encouraged. Description: The department is equipped with two scanners in the main hospital and three in outpatient clinics. Technologists may need to float to cover other areas based on operational needs. Common imaging studies performed include brain, neck, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, breast, cardiac, prostate, and musculoskeletal. Responsibilities also involve imaging patients with implanted devices and researching them prior to imaging. The average number of scans/studies performed per day is 28. The department utilizes EPIC and Sectra PACS for digital charting and communication. The main hospital has GE 1.5T and 3T MRI machines, while outpatient clinics utilize Philips and Hitachi equipment. Radiology aides assist MRI technologists with various tasks. In-house radiologists are available for consultations. IV skills are required as part of the responsibilities. Weekend work is not required, but there is an option to volunteer for it. Participation in holiday and standby rotations is expected. Personal scrubs are required; hospital scrubs are provided only to surgical staff. Department-specific orientation is included for all newly hired staff.
