Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: Computed Tomography Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: WA license required Certifications: BLS (AHA), Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) Must-Have: Ability to work independently, start IVs Description: Must provide radiation badge. Manager can assist in providing a radiation badge if absolutely needed. Must have the ability to float to General X-Ray as needed. Common types of imaging/studies performed include CT scans with and without contrast for Head, Spine, Abdomen, Pelvis, CTA PE, Runoff, and Extremities. General X-Ray includes Chest, PICC line placement, Tube Placement, and Trauma - FX Extremities. Graveyard averages between 2-6 CT scans per night and 1-4 X-Rays per night, depending on the night. Department uses EPIC and McKesson PACS systems. Equipment includes a Toshiba 64 Slice CT Scanner and Carestream X-ray room. No Registered Radiology Assistants are utilized. Radiologist is available in-house Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM; otherwise, a teleradiology service is used. The CT Technologist will need to be able to start an IV if necessary. Work schedule is 5 PM to 5 AM on Friday and Saturday with a float day. No call or standby requirements. Scrubs of the technologist's choosing may be worn.
