In collaboration with the George Mason University community, and as part of the Office of the Provost, the Division for Enrollment Management optimizes student recruitment and retention by developing and implementing strategic enrollment plans, overseeing the admissions process, providing financial aid services, and managing the Mason Student Services Centera centralized student services resource. The Divisions activities support the achievement of institutional enrollment goals by placing the student (and family) at the center of our work, supporting a culture of transparency, and leveraging data to inform decision-making. The Integrated Enrollment Marketing (IEM) team is charged with the creation, maintenance, and execution of Enrollment Managements multichannel marketing and communication plans to support and enhance the recruitment, admission, and enrollment of new students to the university. IEM has direct oversight and responsibility for all enrollment-related undergraduate marketing efforts, including both digital and print collateral, and functions in an advisory capacity for graduate-level marketing. The Position
The Marketing Coordinator, Integrated Enrollment Management uses email, social media, print, and digital marketing strategies to build a strong applicant pool for eventual enrollment. Responsibilities Develop targeted email campaigns that reach the right audience segments and highlight the colleges unique selling points, academic programs, student life, and career opportunities Craft compelling email copy and design visually appealing emails with strong calls to action that encourage recipients to learn more and apply Build, edit, and test email templates in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or TargetX Email Builder Analyze email campaign performance to track open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates to identify what resonates with potential students and refine future campaigns Serve as a primary liaison to about one-third of targeted populations, colleges, and schools Serve as a primary liaison for about one-third of featured recruitment events Create clear, persuasive written content that positions the college as a top choice for prospective students Craft content that drives prospective students to inquire, apply, and enroll Develop a strong, consistent narrative voice reflecting the colleges identity and values Produce high-quality written content across multiple mediums (lead pieces, website copy, brochures, mailers, invitations, social media) Research student demographics, interests, and competitor institutions to ensure content resonates with the target audience Stay current on higher education trends and best practices in recruitment marketing Oversee the creation and execution of organic video content to attract prospective students who align with the universitys target profile Lead collaboration with admissions, athletics, housing, and student life for video capture and impactful interviews Direct pre- and post-production workflows for video content Stay abreast of video marketing trends and guide implementation of formats such as testimonials and campus highlights Assist in the management of digital advertising for recruitment to attract a qualified pool of prospective students Develop digital advertising campaigns across platforms (search, social, display) Target audiences using demographics, geography, and interests to reach potential students Create compelling ad copy and visuals that highlight strengths and drive action Analyze campaign performance using website analytics and ad platform data to refine targeting and messaging Stay current with digital advertising trends and technologies Maintain and manage project resources, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for the team Organize resources with a clear system and regularly update project materials
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in writing, editing, and content creation Experience or interest in creating engaging video content Excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to reflect the colleges brand identity in writing Strong organizational skills for managing project resources Ability to maintain and update project documents for easy access by team members Experience crafting content in multiple formats (email copy, website content, brochures, social media) Attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an office teamwork environment Experience with email marketing platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud or TargetX) Experience with digital advertising platforms (search, social) for campaign creation and analysis Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) Familiarity with basic photo and/or video editing techniques
