Shift Hours: 6AM-6:30PM

Purpose of Role

The purpose of this role is to coordinate the work of production on the manufacturing floor. This role does not have direct reports.

Areas of Accountabilities

Ensure everyone is working safely and following safety standards. Take immediate action to resolve safety concerns.

Oversee the daily work of the shift, ensuring all duties are performed in alignment with communicated

standards (5S, start/end of shift tasks, etc.).

Review production outlook and assign operators to machines and tasks. Delegate production responsibilities to team, dividing tasks and ensuring all are completed. Manage breaks in a timely manner.

Review production schedule and assign operators to machines and tasks. Distribute production duties among team members, dividing tasks and ensuring completion. Manage breaks efficiently.

Provide training to machine operators and floor leads when needed; expected to train temporary workers on basic safety and machine operation.

Provide support to machine operators and floor leads throughout shift, serving as point person as issues or questions arise.

Verify all scheduled orders for the day are forecasted to finish on time.

Fulfill Shift Manager-s responsibilities approximately two days per week when acting as sole manager in the plant.

Verify that product changes are being made correctly and in line with customer specifications. Help coordinate production changes with the leads.

Verify the quality of parts at the start, middle, and end of shift.

Communicate production issues quickly and effectively to other departments. If a piece of equipment needs attention, ensure the correct department is engaged in a timely manner.

Maintain record of completed parts during shift.

Assist other departments as needed; fill in for operators, floor leads, or other team members as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

High School Diploma

3+ years of injection molding experience desirable

3+ years of supervisory experience

Capable of working 3rd shift and a rotating schedule that includes the weekends

Excellent Leadership Skills including strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Some Spanish is preferable

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
