Senior Project Engineer - Bridges and Structures
Location: Boston, MA; Chelmsford, MA (Lexington). Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

The role includes consulting with the project manager, applying engineering techniques and design criteria for complex, cross-discipline projects, and guiding the team to meet project schedules.
What You'll Do
Use senior-level technical expertise to consider a broad range of engineering solutions.
Lead discipline-specific planning, work distribution, and adherence to schedule and budget on complex or unusual projects.
Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
Develop scope of work and level of effort and manage adherence to scope and budget on complex projects.
Oversee completeness and accuracy of the project team’s work within the discipline.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members to achieve project objectives.
Coordinate technical aspects with client counterparts and teaming partners for work within the discipline on complex projects.
Lead discipline delivery on larger, multi-disciplinary projects and work with other disciplines on such projects.
Assist with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work for other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience, or
Master’s degree in Engineering and 7 years of relevant experience, or
PhD in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience

Performs structural analysis, design and construction evaluations for bridge and tunnel projects.
Leads technical tasks and coordinates staff efforts for development of contract plans, specifications and cost/qty estimating on structures replacement and rehabilitation projects.
Serves as a technical (structural) advisor for large, complex infrastructure projects and design-build pursuits in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
What We Prefer
Master’s degree in Engineering
10 years of relevant experience
Professional Engineer (PE) certification in MA and RI
Experience with bridge projects for MassDOT, MBTA, RIDOT and Massport
