JOB SUMMARY :
The Senior Director, Human Resources oversees the global human resources functions of the organization in alignment with policies and procedures. They lead initiatives in human capital, organizational development, talent management, and HR policies. The focus is on branding the organization as an employer of choice to attract and retain top talent. The Senior Director guides the HR team in fostering employee engagement, diversity, inclusion, and culture. They collaborate closely with the Executive Team to ensure alignment of people and culture strategies with business decisions. As a Senior Director, the role involves providing strategic counsel to executive leadership and contributing to organizational policy development. Key responsibilities include : Responsibilities
Managing employee and labor relations Developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives Overseeing US labor strategy and benefits administration Advising on recruitment, retention, succession planning, and leadership development Leading the global HR team and ensuring compliance with HR standards across international locations Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives Providing mentorship and coaching to team leaders Requirements
Advanced degree in relevant discipline Experience in international non-profit / NGO sector Demonstrated leadership in managing diverse employee populations Proficiency in HR management systems and US labor environment Strong communication skills in English Willingness to travel as needed Essential soft skills
Commitment to organizational values Leadership abilities with autonomy Problem-solving and cross-cultural sensitivity Attention to detail and confidentiality Ability to adapt to changing priorities Preferred skills
SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification Fluency in French Non-profit management experience in global health and international development Experience in recruiting international personnel for donor bids Other Information
