The Global Social Media Manager, Luxury will provide expertise and leadership in the social media landscape and deliver on the social strategy for global Luxury sales and activations across Sotheby’s core channels. The role manages 5 dedicated luxury Instagram accounts focused on Jewelry, Watches, Style, Sports and Wine & Spirits. The ideal candidate is forward‑looking in social trends, with luxury-market experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is a strong storyteller across formats (Instagram carousels, Threads, TikTok series). The role collaborates with Luxury Marketing, Press and Specialist departments to showcase extraordinary objects. RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver creative social-first content to increase followers, reach and engagement across core channels and luxury accounts for ~200 annual global auctions and events. Identify efficient ways to reach potential luxury buyers on Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and other platforms. Establish and communicate the business impact of key social metrics; report monthly to leadership. Identify cultural connections with the brand and engage through social conversations. Maintain cross‑functional alignment and timely execution of programs with internal leadership. Continually explore new channels to grow social reach. IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

Minimum 6-8 years of experience managing social media, ideally in-house on the brand side or in a luxury agency environment. Experience across major platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok; Discord and Reddit are a plus. Proven track record of engaging, efficient and newsworthy social campaigns. Familiarity with social media tools and DAMs (e.g., Curalate, Sprinklr, Sprout, Dash Hudson). Experience with digital marketing tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads & Business Manager is a plus. Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptable to change and ambiguity, with quick decision-making. Analytical, curious and creative; able to translate data insights into business actions. Strong time management and ability to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication; able to tell data-driven stories to varied audiences. Collaborative, cross-functional, diplomatic and able to build rapport across levels. Self-starter and problem-solver; experience in luxury, fashion or art industries is a plus. COMPENSATION & NOTICE

The proposed base salary ranges from $70,000–$90,000. Eligible for discretionary bonus and a competitive benefits package.
