Overview A well-established nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence is seeking a strategic and creative

Director of Development & Marketing . This role leads fundraising and communications efforts, oversees donor and volunteer engagement, and supports the organization’s mission through thoughtful brand awareness and community outreach.

As a key member of the leadership team, this individual will develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising and marketing strategy that includes annual giving, corporate partnerships, grant writing, major gifts, and community events. The Director will also play a vital role in storytelling, digital media, and campaign design, ensuring that messaging is consistent and compelling across platforms.

This is an onsite position with potential for partial remote work after 12 months of successful performance.

Compensation Base pay range: $85,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

Create and manage a multi-year fundraising plan focused on donor retention, major gifts, annual appeals, and corporate/foundation partnerships.

Spearhead efforts around legacy and planned giving, donor stewardship, and prospect research.

Support and collaborate with the Executive Director and Board on cultivating key relationships and growing donor networks.

Oversee gift processing, acknowledgment, data management, and fundraising analytics.

Identify and pursue new funding sources including grant opportunities at the local, state, and national level.

Launch and evaluate a peer-to-peer giving program and other community-driven campaigns.

Lead special giving campaigns, milestone celebrations, and donor events.

Manage and grow a volunteer team to support development operations.

Marketing & Communications

Develop and execute multi-channel marketing and communications plans to build awareness and engagement.

Maintain consistency in brand identity and messaging across all materials, including print, web, and social platforms.

Produce and manage content for newsletters, brochures, reports, websites, and email campaigns.

Serve as media liaison and point of contact for public-facing communications, as needed.

Oversee visual and written content strategy, including the use of tools like Constant Contact and social scheduling platforms.

Partner with program staff on outreach initiatives for awareness months and community events.

Leadership & Administration

Supervise and coach a team of 5–6 development and communications volunteers.

Develop and manage departmental revenue and expense budgets.

Contribute to organization-wide strategy and participate in internal leadership activities.

Coordinate with staff on in-kind donation drives and annual holiday giving programs.
