QualificationsCertifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA); Certified MRI Technologist within 1 year - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT); Registered in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) within 1 year - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Education: Certificate of Completion: Radiologic Technology; Associate's Degree: Related Field, Work Experience: ResponsibilitiesClinical Excellence/Patient CarePerforms MRI procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination within the guidelines, policies, procedures and standards of Medical ImagingExhibits competency in performing MRI procedures.Evaluates the finished images to ensure appropriate identification and image quality are being submitted to the radiologistsEnsures patient comfort and safety (i.e. use of earplugs) to maintain quality care during the procedurePossesses knowledge and skills necessary to obtain adequate lab specimens for testingEmployee Development/Performance ImprovementMaintains working knowledge of equipment in order to function on both high field and low field magnetTechnically knowledgeable of equipment operation including hardware and softwarePerforms reasonable trouble shootingChecks equipment for general safety and reports problems through appropriate channelsKnows terminology or jargon of all magnet strengthsDepartmental SupportPerforms support functions of the MRI/Medical Imaging DepartmentPromptly prepares images/paperwork to ensure timely turnaround of the examsTransport patients to and from the department as requiredPromptly and accurately enter patient information into the HIS systemCoordinates patient flow to ensure efficient patient careEnsures safe environment by monitoring people who come within zone 3 & 4Demonstrates a practical problem solving approach to patient moving and handling issuesDemonstrates skills to promote patient and staff safety through appropriate use of lift equipmentAssumes responsibility for training fellow technologists and studentsAssists Lead Technologist in teaching MRI procedures to coworkers/students About UsFind it here.Discover the job, the career, the purpose you were meant for. Compensation and BenefitsThe compensation range for this position is $35.82per hour - $61.61per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
