As a Receiving and Inventory Specialist, Support the Inventory and Receiving Lead by assisting with daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inspecting, and staging incoming shipments. Maintain accurate records of inventory, update systems, and ensure items are properly labeled and stored. Perform general warehouse tasks to support team efficiency. Responsibilities: *Maintain accurate inventory records using our inventory management system. *Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies. *Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary to prevent stockouts or overstock situations. *Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices. *Reconcile inventory to the master Bill of Materials (BOM). *Manage inventory specifically for the manufacturing department, which builds one-of-a-kind devices. *Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage. *Verify quantities and descriptions of received items against purchase orders. *Properly document and label all received materials and supplies. *Add incoming packages into our inventory system during the receiving process. *Coordinate with vendors and carriers to resolve any issues with shipments.
Qualifications: *Basic computer proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Slack. Ability to quickly learn new inventory systems. *Attention to detail and accuracy: Checking shipments against packing slips, catching discrepancies across different systems, avoiding mislabels or miscounts *Organization: Maintain clean, orderly receiving/staging areas, properly label and store incoming goods *Time management: Keeping up with daily receipts in a fast-paced environment *Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. *Ability to lift and move heavy items up to 50 lbs as required. *Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum
Desired: *Prior warehouse or shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment *Experience with inspecting shipments for damage, defects, or discrepancies *Forklift certification *Familiarity with ERP systems and receiving processes *Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand basic information such as part numbers and dimensions
