Job Description
Description: • Position: Material Handler. Reports to the Logistics Manager. • Receives materials and supplies by verifying PO information on ERP - PO number, QTY, etc. • Documents materials receipts and put away to the appropriate storage location. • Locate material(s) by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. • Deliver production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution. • Locate and pack materials for shipping. • Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product. • Documents product shipment by recording units shipped. • Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in • stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages. • Operates forklifts (certified a plus), pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks. • Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs. • Maintain warehouse operation area clean and orderly. • Learn and adhere to workplace safety regulations.
Job Requirements
Requirements: • 2 years of related warehouse experience (shipping and receiving, kitting, packing) • ERP experience, SAP big advantage. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and highly regulated with adaptability to changing priorities. • Strong team player. • Must be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted. •
Must be able to visually distinguish colors and view small print on parts. Attention to detail. •
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Must have a valid driver's license
2nd shift position
Manufacturing General Physical Requirements
*Work different shifts and/or work weekends, including overtime. * Work in hot and/or cold environments * Work around heavy equipment or manufacturing machinery * Wear safety equipment such as safety glasses, sleeves, earplugs and steel-toed shoes * Stand or walk for long periods of time each day * Frequently bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 40 pounds * Work in tight or closed in spaces * Regularly climb ladder/man lift/stairs/crawl under vehicles if necessary * Strong verbal communication skills * Ability to work in a team environment
