Cambridge, NE 69022 (Nebraska healthcare job) Facility Setting:
Inpatient - OB, Medical-Surgical, Post-Partum, Nursery, and Outpatient as needed Assignment Length:
13 weeks (Start: 9/15/2025 - End: 12/15/2025) Shift:
12-hour nights Hours per Week:
36 guaranteed (except during orientation) Employment Type:
Travel Nursing (locum tenens) Unit Details:
OB - 2 labor suites; Med Surg - 16 beds; ER - 2 trauma bays, 1 procedure room Dress Code:
Scrubs or TVHS apparel (any color or pattern) Estimated Weekly Pay:
$2,300 - $2,900 Registered Nurse Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska BSN preferred Minimum 2 years of recent OB nursing experience Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) experience required Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) Current ACLS certification Current AWHONN certification NRP, PALS, and TNCC certifications preferred Ability and willingness to float to Med Surg as needed Registered Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver direct and indirect patient care in OB, Medical-Surgical, Post-Partum, Nursery, and outpatient settings Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments for neonatal, pediatric, geriatric, and general patient populations Assess and manage pain, utilizing evidence-based techniques and educating patients and families Develop and evaluate teaching plans for patients and families Identify and address psychosocial needs, collaborating with Social Services and Discharge Planning Administer medications safely, following the seven medication rights Document nursing care according to current standards and hospital policies Coordinate and supervise patient care as needed Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical nursing skills Operate medical equipment safely and correctly Maintain a culture of safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality initiatives
