Must be flexible and willing to take call in all areas. Positive attitude is essential. Must live within a 30-minute response time to the OR. Description: The unit consists of two operating rooms that are physically separated. There are multiple suites dedicated to various specialties including GYN, General, Plastics, ENT, Pediatrics, and Neonates. The General OR has a Level II Trauma designation. Services provided include cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, general, and kidney transplant procedures, among others. The staff is shared between areas. On-call requirements for staff may average between 50-60 hours for RNs and techs. First assistants are expected to work over 110 hours within a four-week period in the General OR. Holidays are rotated among staff members. The General OR is staffed 24/7 to accommodate patient needs. Documentation is performed within the electronic medical record system. Typical procedures performed include general surgery, vascular, cardiac, and robotic-assisted surgeries, as well as pediatric, ENT, and orthopedic procedures. Candidates should exhibit flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the needs of the team.
