invite applications for a full-time Buyer/Category Manager within the Bookstore departmentThis position is responsible for all aspects of the inventory management of school and office supplies, and snack and beverage categories including but not limited to the coordinating and supervising of the purchasing, sourcing, receiving, distribution, display, and sell through for the University Bookstore operation. This position also manages non-retail supply inventory, equipment, and licensee fees and programs. This role also functions as the point person and liaison for textbook procurement and distribution with our vendor partner Barnes & Noble.

Responsibilities Include: Liaison between campus community and textbook partner, BNC Services, to maintain accurate course material adoptions, build the campus inclusive access program, and investigate ways to lower materials cost while meeting HEOA compliance Manage sales and inventory for school and office supply, sidelines, and trade books. Determine assortments, retail structure, markup and inventory sell through Supervise social media and various marketing opportunities in store and across campus Manage all non-retail supplies and inventory, licensee fees, and equipment for sales operations Perform other related duties as assigned by Manager of Bookstores. Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in higher education environment Knowledge of generally accepted business and retail practices. Knowledge of MBS software programs, specifically advanced knowledge of ARC platform, specifically text module. Ability to multi-task major responsibilities and workload fluctuations.
