Purpose of Role
Rehrig Pacific Company-s Plant Engineers are an integral part of our operations and are responsible for identifying and driving solutions that improve our performance and operational costs. Plant Engineers are responsible for planning, design and implementation of equipment, machinery, and automation. They are expected to work collaboratively with other plant resources, and create safe, stable, and reliable manufacturing processes and systems through the analysis of data and the application of sound engineering practices. This individual should have a continuous improvement mindset and have knowledge of manufacturing best practices to be successful.
What You'll Do:
Lead improvement projects - Identify opportunities to optimize equipment, processes, and plant performance.
Enhance safety - Work with suppliers, safety teams, and plant staff to design safer work environments.
Bring new technology to life - Research, implement, and maximize automation and advanced manufacturing solutions.
Manage impactful projects - Plan, budget, and deliver projects on time, while collaborating with internal teams and outside vendors.
Grow your skills - Set professional goals, pursue advanced training, and contribute to recruiting the next generation of engineers.
What We're Look For:
Bachelor-s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Plastics, Manufacturing, or similar)
Experience in project management and familiarity with tools/software for tracking progress
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles
Hands-on aptitude - comfortable using tools and troubleshooting equipment
Strong communication, problem-solving, and data analysis skills
Tech-curious - experience with programming/coding is a plus
