Job Description:

The Senior Treasury Liquidity Manager develops and executes complex liquidity strategies and/or structures for balance sheet management purposes. This role contributes to the continuous improvement of all processes, models, and related infrastructure. Provides technical expertise, direction, and is a subject matter expert on the team. Develops liquidity methodology and assumptions, processes frameworks and/or systems to support Liquidity Risk.

Depth & Scope:

Recognized as top level expert within the company and requires significant in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas

Senior specialist providing advisory services to executives, business segment leaders and governs the requirements for own work

Integrates knowledge of the enterprise function's or business segment's overarching strategy in leading program design, policy formulation or operating standards within one or more areas of expertise

Anticipates emerging business trends and regulatory/risk issues as a basis for recommending large-scale product, technical, functional or operations improvements

Serves as a source of expert advice to senior management in field of specialty; leads team(s) of related specialists/experts

Advises on execution strategy and leads the development and deployment of functional programs or initiatives within their own field or across multiple specialties

Solves unique and ambiguous problems with broad impact; typically oversees standards, controls and operating methods that have significant financial and operational impact within the context of their own field

Requires innovative thinking to develop new solutions

Impacts the technical or functional direction and resource allocation of part of an enterprise function or business segment

Works within general policies and industry guidelines

Engages stakeholders to take action; serves as a source of expert advice, influences change; frames information in a broader organizational context

Provides leadership guidance, makes recommendations and collaborates with business to ensure solutions meets the business needs on a complex project or program

Identifies and leads problem resolution for project/program complex requirements related issues at all levels

Education & Experience:

Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience

10+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Economics or Master's degree in Finance or CPA

7+ years' experience required

Knowledge of reconciliation between financial statement and regulatory reports

Experience in Treasury or Capital Markets, or in a support role.

Experience with Governance and controls of End User Computing (EUC's) and technical documentation of model and non-models.

People leadership with ability to effectively work in teams across the bank with multiple stakeholders, influence and align others.

In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, financial model-building and interpretive statistics

Ability to successfully plan, develop, lead, and execute projects

Ability to effectively interpret, select appropriate techniques, take independent action, communicate and follow-through

Strong communications skills, both written and verbal

Strong interpersonal and consultative communication skills with well-developed presentation skills

Ability to manage competing priorities effectively, making good decisions based on business priorities and objectives

Practical knowledge of financial analysis techniques and methodologies

Knowledge of accounting, auditing and the associated rules and regulations

Knowledge of Business Intelligence tool like Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx etc.

Customer Accountabilities:

Develops and maintains financial methodologies, strategies & processes that are used to generate risk measurement information used Liquidity Risk Management

Subject matter specialist who understands the movement of various components of balance sheet and be able to visualize the impacts of changes in regulation, processes, data and systems

Responsible for developing Liquidity risk management strategies, assimilating the relevant political and economic factors affecting viability of the firm

Responsible for the optimum composition of the Liquidity portfolio

Leads the interaction with internal and external partners to gain the co-operation of others, and to provide expertise where required

Supports ongoing reviews with 1B, 2nd line and 3rd line functions

Shareholder Accountabilities:

Contributes to various operational activities and processes as assigned

Consistently exercises discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalates issues where appropriate

Be knowledgeable of practices and procedures within own area of responsibility and keeps abreast of emerging trends for own functional area

Conducts internal and external research projects; supports the development/delivery of presentations/communications to management or broader audience

Conducts reporting and/or meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, makes recommendations, assesses the effectiveness of programs/policies/practices

Acquire and apply expertise in the discipline, provide guidance, assistance and direction to others

Adheres to internal policies/procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines

Keeps abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assesses potential impacts

Maintains a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
