Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
to join our busy real estate practice group and support a team of attorneys on a broad range of commercial transactions.
Position Summary: The Commercial Real Estate Paralegal will be responsible for handling all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, from contract to closing, and will work closely with multiple attorneys across the practice. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills to manage complex tasks in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and manage real estate documents including purchase and sale agreements, leases, closing documents, and title/survey objections. Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of commercial real estate closings, including preparation of closing checklists, escrow instructions, and closing binders. Conduct title and survey reviews, identify issues, and work with title companies and surveyors to resolve objections. Order and review due diligence materials such as zoning reports, UCC searches, and environmental reports. Prepare and file corporate organizational documents, UCC financing statements, and other required filings. Assist with entity formation, good standing certifications, and related corporate documentation. Maintain organized transaction files and track deadlines. Liaise professionally with clients, title companies, lenders, and other external parties. Provide support to multiple attorneys simultaneously, effectively prioritizing competing demands. Requirements:
Minimum
5 years of experience
as a commercial real estate paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department. Proven ability to manage and support multiple attorneys on various transactions simultaneously. Strong understanding of commercial real estate transactions, title and survey matters, and closing processes. High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems; experience with closing software (e.g., Qualia or similar) is a plus. Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and under tight deadlines. Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience preferred. Compensation and Benefits:
