Manufacturing Process Improvement Expert: Freeport, IL
Are you passionate about driving operational excellence and continuous improvement? Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Process Improvement Expert to join our team and play a critical role in enhancing productivity, quality, and efficiency through process improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with strong leadership ability and expertise in lean manufacturing methodologies. Key
Responsibilities:
Lead continuous improvement efforts using lean manufacturing principles to drive gains in productivity, quality, delivery, and cost. Generate and manage process improvement projects, including developing and executing project timelines. Drive quarterly Tactical Implementation Plans (TIPs) for improvement initiatives. Facilitate kaizen events and lead root cause problem-solving activities across departments. Support the development and sustainability of lean systems including 5S, kanban, and poke-yoke tools. Coach and train team members on lean and continuous improvement tools. Analyze data using statistical methods to support problem-solving and decision-making. Develop or modify standard operating procedures, work instructions, and graphical operation sheets. Contribute to departmental goals around labor utilization and operational efficiency. Conduct audits to ensure improvements are maintained over time. Provide process support for new product introductions, cost reduction initiatives, and product modifications, including process flow diagrams, time studies, FMEAs, capability studies, and control plans. Prepare business cases for capital expenditures related to process improvements. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Skills & Experience
