Job Description
Job Title: Invasive Cath Lab Technician
Profession: Nursing

Experience: 2 years as Invasive Cath Lab Technician
License: Active RN License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT
Must-Have:
- 2 years experience as Invasive Cath Lab Technician
- Active BLS, ACLS, and ARRT at time of submission
Description:
The Cath Lab has 1:1 patient ratios.
There are 3 beds for procedure labs, including Cath and EP patients.
EPIC charting is utilized.
Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems are available.
Philips telemetry monitoring is provided at the bedside.
Procedural scrubs are supplied by the facility.
Support on the unit includes a charge nurse who takes assignments, a receptionist, and a Hospitalist/Physician available after hours.
Expect to receive 1 day of orientation on the unit.
Patient Types include:
- Diagnostic/Interventional procedures
- Left Heart Catheterization/Right Heart Catheterization
- NSTEMI and STEMI cases
- Impella and IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) procedures
- Rotoblator, CTOs/staged PCI
- Shockwave therapy
- Temporary pacers
- Peripheral diagnostic/interventions
- Loop recorders
Electrophysiology includes:
- Micra, pacemaker, AICDs
- Lead extractions/revisions
- Generator changes
