Your role at Clorox:
Responsible for Safety, Quality and Production requirements on assigned packaging lines in the plant to include personnel, planning, budget, and execution.
In this role, you will:
Lead, Coach and Develop direct reports and others to ensure Forest Park has the required bench strength to supply personnel to the PSO organization while continuously delivering the plant metrics and meeting the individual's career interests
Plant Vision Work: Help develop and drive the Plant Vision, Mission and Guiding Principles to ensure the plant's culture and long range plans meet the business needs
The professional in this role will provide day-to-day leadership for manufacturing operations through monitoring of total production process to ensure that safety, quality, production, and cost goals are met.
Provide appropriate training to operating personnel to ensure that the necessary skills are developed to meet business needs.
Support and reinforce the implementation of Continuous Improvement Process to deliver measurable and sustainable improvements.
Deliver shared base business requirements and operating results including Recordable Injury Rates, departmental cost, labor productivity, inventory management, efficiency, and unplanned downtime.
Excel in leading teams and individuals through problem solving, prioritizing issues and opportunities.
Manage Equipment Related opportunities through data management system
Manage Daily Safety, Quality , Housekeeping and environmental requirements for designated areas
Manage Personnel Time keeping system and payroll for direct reports
Manage Continuous Improvement Processes that support Plant / Department metrics
Complete all performance management (PMPA) requirements throughout the year
Support and provide direction with annual hourly level evaluation
EM: Ensure adequate EM is applied to all major projects, including material changes and new product introductions to enable vertical start-ups.
Work to develop safety and quality ownership in Associates
Support Rewards and Recognition programs
GEMBA walks on a daily basis to foster plant leadership
People Management & Span of Control of up to 32 Hourly employees (equivalent to 2 areas of control)
Drive Plant metric to glide path
Meet all plant and company metric goals for Safety, Quality and Line efficiency
Drive technical improvements and maintenance upgrades
Ensure Operational Readiness requirements are met on all projects
Maintains quality standards through support of QIR and QN processes
Ensures WPO and housekeeping standards are sustained
Ensures line operator PMs are completed and TECO'ed to standard
Assists Maintenance in planning and prioritizing maintenance work
Lead loss discussion of business unit area in Daily Review meetings
Manage changeover, startup, and shutdown processes to standards.
Supports development of production schedule and achievement of schedule adherence
Works with other resources to improve line / equipment performance to goal
Support WCO improvement activities for business unit within standards
Works closely with T&Q pillar team to identify needs and address opportunities
Supports plant and corporate capital projects
Participate / Lead Packaging EO, EQ, POM, and PQ
Develop and maintains process to document operating task in JIB format, working in association with T&Q
Develop and track progress against the Loss Elimination Action Plan (LEAP) for assigned business unit
Managing cost and deliver OEE glide-path.
Drive skill block system alignment and completion by Associates, in junction with the T&Q function
Ensure support for both the operations and the operators in getting time to complete training requirements
Mentor Associates on Leadership skill requirements and with root cause analysis to problem solving
Complete all required training requirements per company expectations
As a member of the plant Leadership team, support the strategic leadership journey map plans
Provide support and Leadership direction on annual Leadership plan
Support all plant celebrations, by participating and assisting activities
Drive a plant culture change to better support Manufacturing Flexibility
Work with Corporate Engineering Support Departments, R&D and the plant to develop an equipment and operations platform that allows for greater flexibility to support FS4G
Analyze plant budget with Plant Controller and others. Make recommendations to achieve Breakthrough savings and execute to plan
Work with Plant Engineering to develop Capital Budgets that align with the business needs
What we look for:
3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment ( packaging, maintenance, etc.)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and people skills
Experience facilitating teams and building consensus across organizational levels
Willingness and ability to work 12-hour shifts (6am-6pm), including weekends, on a 2-2-3 schedule
Proven leadership in plant operations, driving safety, quality, and productivity targets through effective team management and cross-functional collaboration
Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics using tools such as SAP for real-time decision-making and resource planning
Skilled in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and change management to optimize operational efficiency and team engagement across shifts
