Position Overview
Join our client as a Technical Project Manager focused on guiding critical NFS storage migrations for Unit Systems - EPS Stabilization. This role combines hands-on system administration expertise with project management responsibilities, coordinating migrations across approximately 200 application teams while ensuring seamless technical implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Coordination Lead and coordinate NFS storage migrations across ~200 application teams Discuss technical migration options and requirements with application teams Execute data migrations according to established schedules Provide technical expertise and solution delivery support System Administration
Manage RedHat 6, 7, 8, 9 servers (hardware and operating system) Support VMware vSphere hypervisor in virtualized, highly available environments Configure and maintain server processes, configurations, and backups Monitor Linux and VMware platform health and performance Plan, coordinate, and implement security patching activities Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for critical production systems Perform scheduled maintenance and after-hours release deployments Process Improvement & Automation
Develop and refine automated processes using Ansible playbooks Create original scripts in Bourne shell, Perl, Python, or Java Track issues, document changes, and maintain configuration management databases Identify opportunities to automate processes for enhanced efficiency Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related IT field 6-8 years of system administration experience (Oracle, Unix, Linux, clustering) Enterprise environment experience preferred (non-government) Must be eligible for 12-month assignment and in good standing with Client (if former contractor) Technical Requirements

experience, particularly for build and patch automation Scripting proficiency in at least one: Bourne shell, Perl, Python, Java Behavioral Requirements
Ability to participate in on-call rotation Flexibility for extended hours or modified schedules Self-directed with minimal oversight required Strong leadership in technical discussions and troubleshooting Excellent communication skills (technical and non-technical audiences) Preferred Qualifications
