Job Title: Medical Assistant Job Description As a member of the patient care team, you will assist providers and nursing staff with daily office duties in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities Perform specific duties that support patient care.Take and record vitals.Conduct client intake.Room patients efficiently.Document patient information accurately. Essential Skills Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.1+ years of experience in medical assisting, though entry-level candidates will be considered.Experience in cardiology is a plus.Familiarity with electronic health records and stress testing.Ability to perform triage and EKGs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Medical assisting diploma.Specialty experience is preferred but not required. Work Environment You will be working in a fast-paced cardiology office that is family-oriented but can be very busy at times. The main work locations include Glastonbury, Avon, and West Hartford, with additional sites in Hartford, Wethersfield, Windsor, and Norwich. The schedule requires availability from 7:15 AM to 5:00 PM, but you will work a full-time schedule. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glastonbury, Connecticut.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
