Description

The University of Iowa Health Care department of Dermatology is seeking two Clerk IIIs to perform, under general supervision, clinic reception utilizing EPIC systems. Coordinate clerical work such as checking patients into and out of the clinic and collection of co-payments. Assembles clinic paperwork for upcoming appointments.

Performs check-in and check-out duties at the reception desk Schedules patient clinic and surgical appointments using EPIC work queues and In Basket, coordinating with other services as required Takes copays and payments for cosmetic procedures and supplies Is frequently assigned to assist in the Dermatology Surgery Office, which involves complex scheduling skills in coordinating time-sensitive procedures with other services. Will be assigned to cover surgery scheduling when the primary scheduler is unavailable Prepares files for upcoming clinic visits Uploads and distributes clinic forms and incoming faxes Initiates and processes standardized forms related to area of assignment Pay Grade:

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Any combination of related clerical office experience, related undergraduate education, and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to two years of full-time employment. Desirable Qualifications

6 months - 1 year customer service experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated high attention to detail and problem-solving skills Experience utilizing computer software applications (ex. Microsoft Office Suite: including Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel)
