This night-shift role requires excellent attention to detail, strong adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic reporting.Key Responsibilities: Follow SOPs for specimen processing, analysis, and result reporting Ensure quality control, calibration, and maintenance logs are completed accurately Review and release patient test results with high attention to detail Follow all applicable CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and lab safety protocols Troubleshoot issues impacting test performance or accuracy, and document corrective actions Report STAT or critical results according to departmental protocols Maintain clear documentation for all performed testing and results Participate in safety training, new procedure reviews, and regulatory inspectionsRequired Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience performing high-complexity testing Strong knowledge of QC, QA, and lab informatics systems Prior experience working in nightshift clinical environments is a plusNice-to-Have Experience: Customer service or cross-departmental collaboration Previous experience in regulated lab environments Interfacing with clients and troubleshooting service-related issuesRequired Skills: Strong understanding of basic and advanced lab testing methods Ability to work across multiple laboratory information systems Proven organizational skills and multitasking under time-sensitive workloadsPreferred Skills: Familiarity with proficiency testing protocols Capable of training others and reviewing updated procedures Knowledge of specimen tracking and regulatory compliance requirementsAdditional Skills from Original Description: Ability to document and escalate performance deviations Skilled in handling multiple priorities and working collaboratively Capable of understanding complex test systems and adjusting to variable procedures Safety-first mindset with knowledge of applicable safety manual and equipment useEducation Requirements: BS in Medical Technology preferred BA/BS in Chemistry or Biology or Associates in Lab Science accepted Foreign-educated candidates must provide IERF credential evaluation U.S.-educated candidates must provide original transcripts National certification (ASCP or AMT) strongly preferred or eligible under CLIABenefits: Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement FundAbout the Client:Leading provider of diagnostic information services empowering healthier lives.
