Job Summary
The Loudoun County Planning and Zoning department is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Manager to serve as the HR liaison for the Department. This position provides information and clarification on various functional HR areas to include employee relations, workforce planning and recruitment, and benefits and risk management within a medium-to-large size department; supports departmental staff through the full employee life cycle, from initial advertisement of position through retirement; and supports internal clients on using systems for such activities as enrolling in benefits or requesting Family Medical Leave.
Th successful candidate will be able to establish and maintain productive working relationships with department staff and staff throughout the County Government. Must be able to work independently and have demonstrated ability to meet stringent deadlines. Solid organizational and time management skills are required.
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field; two (2) years of related HR work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel and Adobe Acrobat to accomplish office support requirements. Experience using NeoGov is preferred.
This position requires criminal background, credit, and DMV background checks. After a training period, this position is eligible for two days of telework per week. Relocation assistance is available to successful candidates that live more than 40 miles away.
