JOB DUTIES:
Responsible for managing the daily functions and operations of the Central Supply Department, including the decontamination, sterilization and distribution of surgical instrumentation and supplies.
Maintains Hudson Regional Hospital's policies and procedures and other regulatory standards as it relates to the Central Supply Department.
Manages the activities and timeliness of personnel engaged in central sterile processing, receiving and distribution of sterile and non-sterile, stock.
Oversees the processing, sterilizing and assembly of Operating Room and Nursing unit instruments, trays and sets throughout the medical center.
Performs continuous in-services for employees with regard to processing and sterilization techniques
Education:
Sterile Processing Certification required. Graduation from accredited institution for Central Sterile Processing Experience:
5-8 years experience in a hospital or instrument sterilization setting; 2 years supervisory experience in Sterile Processing with supervisory/leadership duties in a lead supervisory capacity is preferred.(2) or more years of experience in OR and/or CSPD required. Skills:
Excellent Oral & Written communication skills, detail oriented, and Knowledge of CNV, AAMI, SDOTH and OSHA regulations. Job Type: Full-time
