This role will be located at our Loveland, Ohio facility.OverviewThis Principal AM Engineer is a dynamic position whose function is to work with a cross functional team to develop metal 3D printing processes for Binderjet printing process. With this the expectation of expert knowledge of software and industrial controls, Material and process for binder and powder development, Piezo printhead control and waveform development, fluid dynamics, pumps, and filtration process, Flowability, spreading/wetting physics of powder, drying and thermal relationship in the debind and sinter process. Nice to have...PHD in Physics, Metallurgy or Materials Engineering 8-10 Years of systems in industry or research labs Deep hands-on experience with characterizing machines, materials, and process Ability to translate theory to requirements and executional examples in a rapid innovation cycle. 3-5 years of Project management expertiseWorking knowledge of other AM modalities: LPBF, EBM, DED.
